With the RETROPLATESYSTEM® , three levels of shine are provided.
Level A is a matte finish, providing dight shine, which increases over time with traffic and regular scrubbing. Level B is a high gloss shine with a good degree of reflectivity. Level C is a marble-like shine, increasing the reflectivity by at least 30%.
Each level provides ease of maintenance and will increase the floor’s resistance to scratching or wear.
The RETROPLATESYSTEM@ increases the abrasion resistance of a floor by up to 40096 (ASTM C779). As a surface treatment, RetroPlate provides the greatest increase in strength at the top of the floor and allows for unmatched abrasion resistance throughout.
RETROPLATESYSTEM@ chemically and mechanically locks up pores at the surface of your floor. This densification process inhibits the penetration of water, oils and other contaminants.
The RETROPLATESYSTEM@ densification process closes off the surface of the floor and locks in concrete salts, keeping the surface from dusting. This dramatically reduces maintenance costs by keeping equipment, machinery, and finished manufactured products free of concrete dust.
By creating a smooth, dust-free surface, maintenance is reduced dramatically, and tire marks are completely eliminated. Join many companies around the world whose maintenance costs for labor and cleaning products have been reduced by up to 90%.
A RETROPLATESYSTEM@ floor has no adverse effects from ultraviolet light or water spray (ASTMG23-81 ). The RetroPlate System creates a durable floor that withstands traffic, abrasion, and daily abuse.
Independent testing has proven that the RETROPLATESYSTEM@ increases a floor’ s impact resistance by up to 2196 (ASTM C805).
The RETROPLATESYSTEM removes dangerous joint slippage. Although imparting a beautiful shine, RETROPLATESYSTEM@ does not create a slippery floor. The RETROPLATESYSTEM@ is environmentally safe.
Application of Ashford Formula/ retroplate approximately 1000m², Allow to dry for 2 to 3 hours.
(New concrete) Finished without footprints after expansion joints are drawn
(New/old concrete) Spray the Ashford formula / RetroPlate with a watering can.
Once a flood coat has been achieved, the material should be agitated with fine-bristled brooms to help it penetrate the surface of the concrete.
The material should dwell on the surface for a minimum of 30 minutes and become gel-like or slippery.
It is necessary to fog or mist the floor with water to keep the Ashford Formula/ Retroplate in a liquid state for the entire 30-minute period.
Its become gel-like or slippery.
When the Ashford Formula/ retroplate turns slippery after the 30-45 minutes has elapsed, it can be flushed away with water. Allow to dry for 2 to 3 hours.

No. The Ashford Formula/ RetroPlate is a chemically-reactive liquid hardener and densifier. It protects the surface of the concrete not by coating it, but by increasing the density and durability of the wearing surface. Once the Ashford Formula/ RetroPlate has penetrated the concrete and reacted with it, there is no Ashford/ RetroPlate left. What remains is a crystalline-densified version of the concrete that was there in the first place. There is no coating, film or membrane to scratch, wear, or peel.
The higher the Forklift Trucks goes, the more it will lean if the floor is not flat.
The continuous strain on the forklift’s components, including joints and bearings, can result in significant damage and have a substantial impact on maintenance costs.
