Levelling, Grinding & Polishing

Why Grinding and densifying?

Have you ever encountered this kind of cement floor – the dust on the ground can never be cleaned completely; if it is not damaged, once there is damage, the entire ground will face endless damage. Have you ever thought about: Where does the endless dust come from? Why does damage become more and more serious once it occurs?

Everyone knows that newly poured concrete requires plastering and polishing work. The ground is compacted through the cyclic operation of the trowel disc and the cement slurry is lifted to the surface, commonly known as “slurry lifting”. Cement slurry is the most precious part of the concrete floor. Part of the cement contains a large amount of cement components that react chemically with the curing agent. The quality of the slurry will determine the final quality, aesthetics and durability of the floor.

Grinding

Ground grinding and smoothing: According to the customer requirements and on-site conditions, the grinding machine is selected for dry grinding or wet grinding to achieve the surface exposed aggregate required by the customer.

Leveling of concrete floor: The level can be lowered by 1 to 30 mm according to customer requirements.

Our company also provides Superflat Grinding Technology, please go here for details.

Grinding machine

The machine adopts an all-gear rotation method and a high-power motor, which has strong reliability and strong grinding force which can greatly improving work efficiency.

Sealer Densifier handener

The next step is to densify the floor with RetroPlate. RetroPlate penetrates the concrete and chemically reacts to harden and densify the floor by filling-in pores and creating a dense surface. Densification is key to the long-term benefits of polished concrete. Many densifiers on the market claim to work for polished concrete, but there is only one RetroPlate.

03

Polishing

This step is to polish the floor with progressively finer diamond grits. This polishing procedure is what produces the floor’s sheen. A floor can be polished to a flat (ground), satin (honed), polished or highly polished finish. Adding color or seeded material allows for unlimited possibilities in design.

FAQ

1. Why does the Floor Need to be Flat?

In a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA), flatness is extremely important for both the safety of the driver and the efficiency of your operation.
The higher the Forklift Trucks goes, the more it will lean if the floor is not flat.
The continuous strain on the forklift’s components, including joints and bearings, can result in significant damage and have a substantial impact on maintenance costs.
